I haven't turned a pen for about 8 years, finally getting around to doing a couple of pens for Christmas. The orange pen is Padauk, Maple and Dyed Black Veneer. The other two are Maple, Walnut and Aluminum, in a scallop pattern. I'm finding that I'm a little rusty, mostly with envisioning the final product. The blue in the middle pen was supposed to be a turquoise truestone that lost its veining when turned, didn't turn out quite the way I thought, just have to keep practicing.
