Couple of new ones

These are a couple I turned last night. Got a thing for bullet pens I guess. Somebody has to keep Gary Max busy eh? Top is zebra wood and bottom one has buffalo horn top. Free hand sharpened my gouge and boy did I get it sharp. Ate through the horn like no tomorrow. Only smell was during drilling... thankfully!!!

Pretty nice cartridge pens....what finish did you use on the horn?

I used some plastic polish and the a little renaissance wax after sanding and eee. I've heard they crack a lot so I'm waiting to see. I think it should be ok. As for the football...I just might make it to the swamp for a game or two. I'd love to be able to make up some school color pens... just don't want to do the same old thing... got to come up with some thing creative. I've made a bout a half dozen pens and like trying new stuff as I go. this could be VERY addictive. []
