The wood has been final sanded and the rings glued on. they just look so darn real I almost hate to go ahead and finish the pens.
the labels were given to me by the photographer from a well known cigar magazine that was at a cigar function I was attending. He saw another pen I had made (for a cigar distributor) and asked me if I could make these two bands into cigar pens for him. He had been carrying them in his wallet for a long time he said. I am going to finish them up tomorrow and meeting him for lunch Tuesday. I think, at least so far, they came out very nice.
