Here are a couple of recent pens:

First, my second Gold Stardust Pompey. I'm loving this material, and plan on to offer a collection of different colored Stardust Pompeys.

Second, I made a ladybug:) I've currently got another under construction. I like ladybugs

I really like the design of your Pompey, especially the flush cap / body exterior. How do people react to the large shoulder that you need to get that flush exterior? I have mixed feelings about the ones I've done. Sometimes I think the large shoulder is not an issue and then other times I'm not so sure.

Looking at the pen magazine, I see pens done with and without the shoulder. Unfortunately, the materials I most commonly work with require the shoulder.

It's like with anything - some people like it, others don't. Personally, my hand fits a pen like this quite nicely, and the step is not an issue for me. I think it may bother me if it were a rollerball or ballpoint, but not with how I use a fountain pen.

Where did you get the lady bug blank? My mom loves lady bugs, and I have been trying to think of something to make for her for Christmas. Those are some beautiful pens!

Shoulders have never bothered me, either, but I've been surprised at the number of customers who have specifically asked me to eliminate the step on some of my pen models. Your step here is far enough back that it shouldn't affect one's finger grip at all, I'd think.

I love that gold stardust. Ladybug, too, but the stardust is just mesmerizing!

I love the first pen, but I really dig the second one. My oldest granddaughter (16) is a ladybug fanatic and would go crazy is Pa Pa made her a ladybug pen. Ok, where in the world do you get those blanks? :)

Good job on both!!!

Thanks everybody!:)

The spotted blanks are my own, if you can call them blanks. I guess the blank is red.

Both pens are the beginning of style lines that I'm developing and building out to offer to my customers. My goal is several style/model lines that are unique to me, eventually becoming a real pen company.
