Did a couple more Alibaster pens for my sister and nephew. Starting to get the knack of turning this stuff and learning how to control the massive amount of dust it produces. I just sealed the stone with BLO and buffed.

Nice work!! I use a dust collector to hold the dust down whenever I turn anything. That helps the sinuses and keeps my wife happier.

I also have sealed with ca and buffed. I was afraid that any moisture or something could stain it.

I tied off a crevice attachment from my Dust Deputy to my tool rest(safely) and then turned . I was amazed how good it worked.
I wish I had used CA on the pink one. I just set it on the desk and it fell apart at the nib end. Seems like the epoxy did not get good coverage within the blank. Next one will be q tipped with gorilla glue before sliding in the tube.
