A couple of JR Gent's - Desert Ironwood and Coolibah

Here are my latest pens. Both are JR Gent I from SPW. These are gifts to my cousins for letting us use their boat while on vacation last month.

First is Desert Ironwood. I think Desert Ironwood is my favorite for pens because of the different colors in the heartwood. This is a first for me using both heartwood and sapwood....



Second is Red and Cream Coolibah. I got this blank in a pen swap a few years ago and have been saving it for something special. I'm going to have to try and find more of it!

I favor wood pens and those are both very nice.

I love Desert Iron wood. Good job. You should consider a custom finial from the iron wood to replace the stock black finial. Make all the difference in the world.

Thanks for all the comments. I've never thought of replacing the finial. Is it hard to do?
