I finally got to do some turning Friday. Finished two Cigars.

1. Blue & Orange Chrome Cigar, requested by a friend

2. Curly Maple Dyed Blue on a Copper Cigar. This was my first dye job.

Very nice! Good finish. I love the blue- did you dye it yourself? If so, great job getting the color applied and penetrated!

Used blue food color to dye after turning. I used three rounds of dye/dry/dye to get it as dark as I wanted.

Finish is CA only.

I always love the dyed curlly maple. Nice job. I wanted to dye a yoyo I made the other day. Didn't have blue food coloring, so I used laser printer ink I have. Bit expensive, but works great.

Great looking pens. The dyed pen came out very nice. I tried my first dye the other day and it didn't come out as nice as yours did.
