I've been wanting to try my hand at decals and segmenting for awhile and after some trial and error got a couple decent looking pens.
First is an OSU decal on some blanks that Jonathan was kind enough to send me. I also got some great advice from Chuck Hutchings (dalecamino) on applying the decals. I used guitar picks for the black bands.
Second is a cigar band on the same blanks from Jonathon. The colors just seemed to be perfect for the cigar band. I had a couple failures trying to make a cigar pen with the cigar bands due to the finished blanks were turned down too far and slightly out of round. I've been gradually switching to TBC bushings for my other pens; cigar pen bushings are next on my list.
The third pen is a nice piece of amboyna burl and english walnut with a coke can separating them.
Adding to the fact that these are my first successful attempts at a CA finish, I feel I'm headiing in the right direction.
Comments, suggestions, and constructive criticism are welcome.

Jonathon, I did one but it had a slight gap where the blanks were glued together. The colors were dead-on perfect though. I think I finally figured out a good clamping set-up to glue the blanks together, so I'll try again this week.
