A couple of firsts.

I made this pen for my brother in laws birthday. This is the first pen time I've cast a blank with the tube in. Also the first knurl gt kit I've used.

I was actually surprised how well the blank came out. It's not perfect but it did come out really nicely.

I was impressed with the knurl gt. I think the kit has a nice feel and weight to it...definetly going to turn one for myself at some point.

Nice work ! . Casting I haven't tried yet. . Did you use Silmar 41 ?

Thanks Mal. Yes I used silmar 41. So far it's the only resin I've gotten to use. It was pretty interesting as I didn't have many of the things that would make a tube cast easy so I turned my own stoppers and hot glued popsicle sticks to my large mold as I only had just enough resin left. Definitely turned out nice for the setup I had.

Well done Doug! I haven't done any casting and probably wont, but I sure do admire those who do it.
