Hi all,

Here's how my 2 bolt-action stamp pens turned out.I thought it would be neat to make one in honor of John Wayne, great American & one to pay tribute to the great state of Texas.

I used USA John Wayne stamps, and the Republic of Texas stamps.Sent in to have cast by Don Vann, who did a nice job on them.( Thanks Don!)

I know that they are supposed to be made with camo, antler or gun-type wood on them, and except for the antler I have done all these, but I wanted to do these for a long time, something different.

I had a third, using the neat looking Texas Statehood stamps, but it got wrecked.Gotta try that one again,it looked cool!

Thanks,
Steve

Gonna need to get you some molds, ModPodge and a gallon of PR....you are certainly keeping the USPS people busy making stamps!

Stamps are fun to turn, and they go pretty quick from start to done. Are you MircoMesh-ing these through the pads or using a few pads, then PlastixPolish?

Hi Scott,

I'm using my Woodchuck down to about .002-.003,then wet sanding with the MM pads, then plastix,& then a final buffing with the Barry Gross buffing setup.

Thanks,
Steve
