It has been a while since I have been able to finish some pens. It felt good to get back into the shop.

First is a corn cob blank I stabilized. First one of these that I have done. Was pretty happy with the results. Looking forward to trying some in color.

Second is a hand scrolled sailboat blank by Jeff Powell on a platinum Atrax. This is a gift for my brother in law who likes to sail. These blanks turn very easily and the depth of color is fantastic. You just have to follow his guidelines on drilling the blank and things turn out pretty well.

Both pens turned out real well. I really like the work that Jeff does. The blue swirl in the sailboat blank is very cool. Corn cobs make great blanks. Well done!
