Acrylic from Martin in Ohio State colors. This stuff really turns well and the photo doesn't do it justice. I think I have the camera too close. I'll raise it for the next one and see if it makes a difference.

I like this pen! The plastic is very nice, and makes for an elegant looking pen, but again, I think the shape is right on!

As to the photo, you might be having a depth of field problem as I notice the focus is a little fuzzy in places. If you have manual control of your camera and are using a tripod, slow down the shutter speed a little and close down the aperture as much as possible. Raising the camera a little might help as well. Typically, camera lenses are not as sharp at their perimeter as they are in their center, so taking the picture from a greater distance and cropping it a little may help as well.
