Colorado Cactus Sierra

Here is my first attempt at casting cactus. I haven't bothered to do the research to find out what kind of cactus that it is, so chime in if you know. I tried to dye it red, little did I know that the cactus would not absorb the dye. This is the outcome.

This is my version of a PR patriotic swirl blank.

It looks like Cholla cactus skeleton to me. Was it round and hollow in the middle? Here is one I did with Cholla to give you something to compare with. BTW, the pen look GREAT!

Very nice pen! As mentioned above, the red edges give a flame effect. Cool![8D]
