Here are three Executive style pens using more of the vintage material I got recently. The design/pattern was called hatched. Silver with black, Gold with black and Green with black (my favorite). All micro meshed and buffed.

Thanks for looking, Keith "mrburls"

Keith,

That is another amazing group of pens you have made with the vintage material. Too bad that type of material is no longer being made.

Wonderful work on those pens - nice job of combining the "right" body material with the "right" pen.

Which brings up a second comment: Since there are so many folk (myself included) who think "vintage" material is neat, why can't the manufacturers of pen blanks make some for us folk who have real positive dicriminating tastes?

Great looking material, what is it? The Executive is one of my favorites.

Ben

Hi Ben, This is Cellulose Acetate an old material used in the 1930's by big name pen makers like Waterman, Parker and Conway Stewart to mention a few. It's increadible how this stuff polishes up with such great depth and color. It is however limited to smaller outside diameters on most of the material.
