I don't usually jump in and indulge in trends, but it appears that coffee cast blanks are going down smoothly at the IAP cafe. Here's my cast version of the very popular coffee beans. As an added flavouring I partially dissolved some brown ti-dye crystals to simulate the coffee grounds alongside the beans. Careful as you sip it, it's very hot!!!

This is my version II shot under different lighting conditions. The beans are certainly more visible than version I.

Either it's my computer monitor or you may have gone a little too dark. I can barely make out the beans.

Beans are there and still penetrate with aroma on the pen even with a light CA seal. THe pics are dark (shot in sunlight), Here's the casting(brown) prior to turning. The red casting are my 'hot chili peppers' pen blanks.

Since you "re-shot" them, does that mean you are making a second pot with used beans?

Nice pens and very nice workmanship. When I first saw them I was reminded of the U.S. Marines colors.

Chili pepper? I'd wear a respirator when turning that, heh

Is there any colorant to the resin? I bet it would work with clear and a painted tube.
