I came across some outstanding Cocobolo with some sapwood about a month or so ago. I have been putting it to use sparingly. This Cigar pen is pretty typical of what the rest of it will turn out like. Of course, one can never tell what lies beneath.

Beautiful pen! The wood is spectaculiar! But I really like the shape you acheived on this pen! How is it to hold and write with, with that flare out down on the nib end?

Thanks for the input. The Cigar Pen is the obvious choice if you really want to show the grain off. Well, anything with a larger diameter really. It's a shame you can't see the other side...the wood is really incredible. Credit goes to the CREATOR of the wood...I'm just fortunate enough to be the one to show it off.
