Cocobolo Hybrid El Grande Baron

I had some extra parts from various kits and decided to make a Frankenstein Cocobolo pen. The clip and cap are from a Baron kit, the rest of the pen is an El Grande Closed end with shaved center band. CA/BLO finish. Comments are welcomed. Good, Bad or Ugly.

very nice, i like the taper of the pen, not square, elongated or too sharp. i would like to see the cap a little shorter, could you knock another one up a wee bit shorter as a comparison for future reference . i am just not sure the black band works with the gold and possibly with the wood. still its very nice.

what do you mean by shaved centre band? is it from the elgrande with the ring removed? does it feel less top heavy than the csusa jr series?
