That is certainly unusual with the multi-bead/coves on top and the straight bottom. The wood is lovely for sure! The pen is very well executed.
I'll be honest with ya... I would have liked to see the grain and color of the coco on top. The beading and coving obscures what I'll bet is some real nice wood. Just my taste I guess. But you said that you were just having fun and I'll bet it was great fun embellishing the top!
