Nope, you spelled it wrong...shoule be dalbergia retusa...just kidding. It is Cocobolo, so you were very close.

What finish did you use on the pen? Good straight lines.

Actually, BB sells a "fake" version of Cocobolo called "cocobola"; not sure whether you're turning the dalbergia retusa (i.e. the "real wood") or the fake stuff. Either way, you did a nice job with the fit on that pen!

Is a "cocobola" a pen/pencil set with a string between them you can throw at a wild animals feet to snare it? Good pen. My wife loves that size for her checkbook.
