Cobra Skin Cigar

I have not posted in a long time. Too busy with work and family I guess. This is cobra skin from Glimmerz~N~More. Quality blanks that turned very well with sharp spindle gouge. I don't like to use the skew on these kind of blanks-one catch and you're done if you know what I mean. Kit is black titanium cigar from CSUSA. This pen is not leaving my hand!

Knock-out!!! The Cigar is an excellent vehicle for showing off snake.
Personally, I prefer the skew for these. Each to his own.

From the way it looks you don't see the resin and it looks like you should feel the scales.

How do those Glimmerz blanks polish up?

This one looks like glass. I used a combination of sand paper, MM and HUT plastic polish on this one. I sanded up to about 3600 with MM use the plastic polish and then finished it off with 8000 & 12000 MM. The 4000 & 6000 MM were leaving marks on the surface for some reason. These blanks are not as hard as some plastics.
