I posted the picture of the pen before but now I have finally finished the custom stand for it - just in time for Christmas. Pen is a closed end statesman RB and the stand is cherry with white tail antler. Comments and critique welcome - actually requested! Improvement comes from honest critique!
Thanks!

Amazing Keith! Just getting a antler to spin round for drilling is an achievement! I second the shorter finial thought, but 99% of it rocks!!!

That's freakin gorgeous. Wow.
if you do another - it would be cool for the antler in the base to act as the pen trumpet - and when closed would look like one long piece of antler.

Both pen and stand are great looking Keith. Keep up the good work.

It must be either the angle of the shot, or maybe a little bit of curvature from the lens, but it looks like the pen body has got a little 'curve' to it almost like the end of an antler. I'm assuming that it's actually straight, and that it's just my eyes playing tricks on me.

It's super looking, closed end is the next thing I want to add to my skill-set.

Thanks for the comments but it does have a little curvature to it - made for interesting turning!
