About the clip, I love the hammered look, was going for a rustic look with this wood.... The clip it's self trials off to the right at the bottom, I noticed that before I attached it, cross members are square with the cap. I think it gives it charter, 300+ historic and a cross clip the looks weathered and worn....

It is a silver clip from Silver Pen Parts. Just ordered more!

It is a great look! How did you attach it, with screws into the cap? If so what size screws?

Yes, screws through the cap, 1mm bit and matching optical stainless screw, that was the fun part.......
