You nailed it! Got the shape right and all. The biggest problem I have had with this shape is making the long blank too fat, so that when the cap screws down over the nib, the center band bites into the fat blank.

I learned quickly to put calipers on the first 1/4" of the blank to make sure I'm in the right ballpark.
