Finished this today, a Churchill gold RB with modified cap finial and closed end body. My neighbor was cutting the tree down (last year)just as I was getting home from work. He thought I was a tad wacko, when I asked if I could have the root, until last week when I handed him his own pen that I made from the same chunk of wood. He is looking at his other trees to see if they need "saving".

Very nice Glenn. I like the Churchill, especially the clip. But I REALLY liked the pen you had at the Rendezvous. I love those multi-part pens.

Thanks Gerry, glad you like it, it was fun to make.
I will post a picture of the pen that was in Provo here soon.
I am jealous that you made it there and I didnt. y'know...2 college students over the last six years, one left to finish. Oldest graduated and now is getting married next year. Whew, no time or money for Provo! Soon though, maybe next year.
Glenn
