This pen kit is extremely easy to make. Maple Burl and gun metal plating.

The Pen Box not so easy, not sure will go beyond sanding sealer. My second attempt, first one cut through ojive. Yes, measured an awful lot and still screwed it up.

Looks nice. I like the idea of the box. The ends need to be a little longer and pointed is the only improve I could suggest. Nice work.

Awesome pen and great idea for the box! I just turned my first Civil War pen yesterday.

My snickered when she saw the pic but I don't know why?

When started making my pen box yesterday I worked diligently with pure thoughts mostly. That all changed when cut through the ogive.

Yes indeed my initial pen box design had a base, and able stand upright. Removing the top of the box would expose top part of pen, all you had to do was lift pen out box for use and put back when done, replacing top of box optional.

Thanks to your comments see new design resembles a two-headed phallus. There goes my visions of greatness and future planned pen boxes for other style pens.

Forgot to mention finished on pen is Deft.
