This is a Civil War pen I made this week. I've had the kit, and the blank, for 2 or 3 years now. I don't remember the name of blank or its source but it was a powder when turning, not like a regular acrylic. Finished by wet sanding with mm, polishing with brasso, buffed with white diamond and then carnuba wax. Thanks for looking.

I have another kit, with a laser inlay blank. I need to get the courage to try that one. If I don't destroy it while turning it, It'll be for me to keep.

Very nice looking pen! I've got a couple of these that I need to find time to try out.

Very nice pen - I like that kit too.
Trustone blanks make powder like you describe. I don't know if that's what you have there, but it's possible.

Ed, now that you mention it, I think it was Trustone. My wife bought it for me and I took it out of the package and drilled it quite a while ago.
