The collection is made up of a full size Majestic rollerball with wood from the Honey Locust witness tree at Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, a Majestic letter opener with wood from the Stonewall Jackson prayer tree and a full size Majestic fountain pen with Ironside "USS Constitution" shipyard lumber.

May I ask where/when you got the USS Constitution shipyard lumber?

I ordered some USS Constitution reconstruction wood from their museum store a few years ago, but they no longer have any listed there and they haven't responded to my emails on the subject.

Thanks Edgar. I received the blank from someone who would prefer to remain anonymous. This wood is a little different than wood that that is currently taken off the ship as it is being repaired and than sold as pens on the USS Constitution website. This wood was from the actual Charlestown Shipyard (now the Boston Shipyard). This wood had been designated to be used to build and repair US ships, including the USS Constitution – Old Ironsides -and the last surviving whaling ship, the Charles W. Morgan that was built in 1841. Here is a link to a video about this wood:

I was aware that wood from that shipyard was being used for that purpose. I was hoping that there might be a source for off cuts.
