This was my first try at the Celtic knot or planetary circle I call it. It has about 8 coats of CA. Not perfect by any means, but it was fun.

I'm not a big fan of that kit, but I must say the pen is beautiful all the way around. Really nice knot and finish. I have been making pens for over 2 years, maybe 3 and still cant do a celtic knot. Great job.

Looks perfect enough to me! Beautiful job on the celtic knot. I wish I knew where to even begin one of those. And that gun metal is quickly becoming one of my favorite hardware finishes. Good job man.

I went to the library right here on IAP and someone shows how to make it along with little circles that you can cut out and stick on the end of the pen blank showing what cut is next. You can print those little circles from that tutorial. It is really quite easy and works well. I just built me a sled for my little table saw and put a new blade in and followed the pattern that I printed.
