I finally got time to turn these two home brew blanks I poured last month. I had some outter edge elm from that lumpy tree pic I posted and wanted to try the worthless wood pours like many of you do. I dont have a pressure pot yet but mixed the color and let sit so the bubbles left. Then mixed hardener and poured very small stream to get into all the cracks. Im still learning but satisfied with how they turned out. Platinum Polaris and Chrome Cigar. Thanks for all comments.

I used three coats of thin CA to seal the entire pen and then used about half the grits of micro mesh to smooth it out. After a day of curing, applied 7 coats of a spray lacquer and let them cure for seven days. After that I used EEE paste and buffed them babies to a shine, and added a litte wax to the buff.

I dont have but a couple poured right now, but I have a huge box of wood edges and small knots and hope to make more from the 5 gallons of pr I got last week. Thanks, John
