Churchill fountain pen in thuya burl

This is my second CA finish attempt on a pen. It's still not perfect, but it's pretty damn nice, if I do say so myself.

Of course when I put it together, there was a drop of thick CA inside the cap, which managed to get on the nib holder...which I managed to glue my fingers to...so I apologize for how ugly that is. I did my best to clean it up Click to hugeify.

That's pretty darn nice !! Sorry you had a little problem with the CA ... the pictures don't make that obvious though.

Working with thuya is so pleasant .... I hate coating it with CA because then it doesn't smell !!!

nice job on the pen and the CA Finish -
Unscrew the nib holder and rub the ca off with a rag dipped in acetone. be CAREFUL not to get any on the CA finish!

Thanks! I did try acetone, but it melted the nib holder and looked crappy. I may just be bad at it.
