I'm not sure what the wood is on this one, Evelyn picked it out at Woodcraft in their $1.00 a blank bin. The kit is a Chrome/Satin Chrome from Exotic Blanks. This is the first pen I've made since Evelyn had me move my lathe inside so I made it for her. I sanded the blank to 12000mm and finished with 20 coats of WTF. It was nice turning were it was warm. All C & C welcome

That is VERY pretty.. and the fact she picked out the blank makes it even better. I like it when my wife does that as well. :) :) I was in the shed...errr... studio earlier after digging through about 15 inches of snow. I have a heater in there so it was not too bad. I am working on new things.. bottle stoppers.. :) :)

So glad you are in a warm place. For me turning is therapy and being comfy is important. I wondered about how much sawdust and such you would have though. Any issues with that yet?

Great fit and finish.. as always.. :)

Thanks Mitch for the great comment. I had the lathe inside in the last part of 2013 and there really wasn't much of a problem with dust. I'm not planning on doing anything but pens.

That's a nice pen! Simple and elegant. Just about every time I make a click pen (especially that particular kit), my wife wants to liberate it.
