Chrome Cigar dressed up in Rhododendron Root

This was the first time I've turned Rhododendron root. The blanks were sent to my by Cody (Cwalker935) thanks again Cody for the nice gift. I was surprised on hard it was, it does turn, sand and finish really well. The kit is a chrome cigar from Woodcraft. I sanded to 12000mm and finished with my WTF method. All C & C are welcome

That's a very nice looking pen !! I never would have thought of using a rhododendron root for a pen blank ! The color of the blank really goes well with the hardware. Well done, Dan !

Very nice! Cody & I swapped some wood recently and he gave me some of that rhododendron root too - I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
