So this one was for my dad for Christmas, he didnt tell me what he wanted til like a day before Christmas. So i just gave him a box and told i would fill it with some pens. Since he is a engineer I made him a 7mm sierra pencil, and also a sketch pencil. Both are made out of Lignum Vitae. (verawood) most likely. Another thing is this stuff is by far, my favorite wood to turn!

Very nice! The finishes are perfect. Were the pics taken just after finishing the pens? Just curious if you've put them out in the sun for a few hours. I've had some turn a nice bright green after doing so!

I finished them yesterday and took pics today, so they just sat in the shop. So that is why they are more brown. I had a lignum Vitae pen sit in a store and it got dark green. I am hoping that will happen to these ones.

Good work, James. Your dad will enjoy showing these off to the engineers and techs he works with, I'm sure.
