Christmas Gift to Dad

Here is the desk set I made for my Dad for Christmas. The burl came from Nolan (fabulous as always). This is my first True Stone as well as first Lotus. It turned out better than I hoped.

It's the Blue Lapis Tru-stone. The gold in the Tru-stone really works well with the gold in the Lotus.

The pen is great, but the base is amazing. What did you finish the base with?

Thanks for the kind remarks. The base was sanded to 600 then finished with about six coats of spray lacquer with sanding between coats. Nolan's burls are fabulous!
