I took a piece of cholla cactus, glued the tube in, glued the turquoise (my birthstone) chips in and then cast it in alumilite with blue dye. I used the pen pro to turn it. Hope y'all like it. C & C welcome.

i love the look of that pen! I'm curious how the chips turned. Did they come shooting out while turning or do they cut well with the carbide? I've been too nervous to use stone chips because of that unknown.

The chips, for the most part stayed put. The stone, however, was hard to turn. Slow and easy. My skew wouldn't touch it. Glad I had the Pen Pro, and even with it I had to sharpen it a couple of times.
