Cholla cactus on motorcycle pen kit

Here is a Christmas gift I made for my brother from another mother.

I cast the cholla cactus with Alumilite and used turquoise mica powder.

The motorcycle pen kit is a little heavy, but it has a good balance to it. I really like the feel of it.

Dave, you made some terrific selections of pen and blank. I have not been attracted to the "Cycle" pen cuz I couldn't see it working without overpowering the blank. You my friend made the power work. Beautiful work brother, keep em turning!

Thank yall. I'm very pleased with how the cactus color is similar to the gold accents on the pen kit. I think that helped tie the blank and kit together.

You can learn to cast. I learned by watching NV Woodwerks on Youtube and from tons of information and great people here on this site. Some trial and error and every now and again I get one right.
