Had our son baptized this weekend and made these two pens for the Godparents. One is a garnet/silver Alumilite resin with cholla cactus pieces embedded. I sanded through 12,000 grit with Micro Mesh and then put on a 5 coat thin CA finish on top. Then resanded back through to 12,000 grit and hit it with Meguiar's PlastX polishing compound. Used a black titanium cigar pen kit.
The other is a pink Spectraply blank that I picked up in Cousineau's 20 blanks for $10 blowout sale. First time using Spectraply and I was very impressed with how it turned out. 8 coat thin CA finished using the above sanding/polishing method. Used a PSI Falcon pen kit
