Made this pen for a friend who gave me some cherry logs. THe pencil was a kit i had bought some time back at the same time i bought a click pen(from woodcraft). The pen is a slimline and both are ca finish.(The first time for an all ca finish. I usually put three or four coats of ca then two to three of poly.)And the pencil is a little proud at the nib. Didnt want to take it apart yet.

The only problem with the cherry is there is not a lot of figure. The top of the pencil is were i cut and drilled almost center of a knot to get what figure i could, but it also wanted to bust out. LOts of ca and lots of patience. But the finish on the cherry is still very nice even without the figure.
