Cherry Blossom Design

For this blank I took a piece of heather, trimmed all the green and petals from the twigs. Mounted the twigs bending around like a cherry blossom. I then came back and individually glued each petal to look like a blossom. Very pleased with the results but was a lot of work. Blank made by me and cast in Royal Palm Resin and turned by Barry Vandergriff.

The background pink is very well done .... how did you do that ? It looks like it could be powder coat.

On this one specifically I had my printer make gradient labels out of exterior grade vinyl. Sometimes I hand paint tubes. I have used powder coated tubes in the past many times but have stopped using them for casting because they are so easy to develop hydraulic bubbles with since non of the casting resins can form a bond with the powder coating.
