Thanks for the nice words. Sorry I no longer use that engraver; it is a long story...I do have an engraver in Augusta, GA though.

Pat, Sprite or something else without much paint on it. Coke is the worst; too much red to remove. I buy brass shims at hobby stores, looks like gold. see ya

Very nice! I have some cherry and walnut left over from a couple of furniture pieces I made and have been thinking about making some segmented pens. Looks like we're on the same wave lenght, except I've just been thinking about it, and you actually did it.
