Chechen Burl custom

Many goofs putting this one together, but I salvaged it and the burl patterns are fabulous. Glad I have a few more blanks of this.

I'm hiding my goof under the cap! : ) It looks horrible together. There is a crack near the nib coupler and the cap is way too long. But the wood is beautiful and I will use it personally to write with. Thanks for the comments.

I love turning this stuff. It comes off in nice curly shavings and looks exactly like shavings of dark chocolate! Yum.

This burl is awesome, I have a few blanks myself, it has some reddish tint in the sap color!
