Chain Maille

This is another Cast Carved Core. Cold cast aluminum inlayed in black PR, cast in clear PR.



I was inspired by some images of chain maille that I was looking at a while back. Some may look and see stars in circles. Others (particularly quilters like my wife) may look and see a pumpkin seed quilt pattern.

Hi Chris - At least my pens are good looking. If only there were some way to apply this to myself.......

What sized bit did you use to cut the aluminum?

Hi Mike - I used a 30 degree (included angle) engraving bit with a 0.010" tip.
