It is true, we penmakers look at the world a bit differently. I am looking at my dresser trying to find a spot that I could take a chunk out of and not get caught lol. I like the looks of your pen. now I need to look for a fence post haha

Lauren, that's a nice looking pen. How did you make those crevices? Did you randomly dug it out and made the them yourself or did you just took the dental pick and cleaned them out before you filled them? And, also is that the crushed turquoise dust you embedded?
