My Dad sawed up this cedar tree for me on the diagonal - all the while telling me he didn't see how I could do anything with chucnks cut like that. Well, it worked just fine.

The fit was not just exactly spot on so I tried an experiment. Sometimes we get parts that say they have a lacquer coating on them to protect the plating. Figured I'd just do my own lacquer coating so I dipped the parts with the nib part and the centerband already in place. I let the parts dry and it worked pretty well. The lacquer helped with the joint between wood and hardware and the lacquer is smooth and appealing to the touch.

Sorry for the poor photos. Will post better ones when I can get it done right.

I think it's a Euro kit.

I'm trying to figure out how to price pens. Any suggestions by private message or in this thread would be appreciated.

I plugged the tip and dipped only a smidgen beyond where the transmission enters the tube. I didn't dip it so deeply that transmission would flow over the top of the transmission and into the mechanism.
