:cat::cat: This was part of a branch a fellow woodworker and turner gave me, saying he could not use it because it was cracked and the bark was showing where a limb had healed over. I put it on the lathe yesterday to see what would come out of it. The more I turned, the better it was looking. This is what was hidden inside. Reminds me of the cattails I have on my property, stems and all. The pen kit is a PSI Executive in 24K Gold. The blank is Apatalae with nothing added or modified except the CA finish. This scrap wood came in a roughly wrapped outer package, but what a little jewel was waiting inside. Never judge a book by it's cover !! Jim S
