Well its a success since It "did" make a pen.

will post the before pic in the casting forum. But here is the finished pen.

The white was supposed to be gold in color, came from the blank below the pen, but the white tube... Should have painted it gold.

Also it chipped a little near the clip, and as you can see the green strips are bleeding and I don't know where the red came from.

This one will get put aside with a note saying...

Casting Material.. 60.00
Pen Kit..... 10.00

Realizing you stink at casting PRICELESS. :)

Congrats Dennis, I think it turned out very nice. Like anything, you learn as you go. Im guessing the red is inside from drilling. You might want to run a wire brush down the hold and then paint the hole and the tube. Another option is try the Aero or Elegant Beauty kits. They are a bit smaller in tube size and leave more resin in the pen body to show off the nice swirl in your resin blank. Just an idea. Great Job! John

Cool!!

ps .. VERY few people get ideas, go to the shop and have them come out right every time.

in fact, I think it's only Skippy

No matter what I do casting, I have a nice big box standing by for the reject
blanks so I can recover the tubes later.
