Casting #12, an attempt at suspended animation

I made an attempt at a Brooks inspired suspended animation blank. I was partially successful, but too much gold settled during curing. It was worth a shot and I'm not too mad at the results. I reverse painted and painted the tubes black, and the pics would have had less issues, but I had to hit the door and get out of the house. I honestly expect you need to be vertical casting for these to work out well, and I think I know how to get a passable result when I do start vertical casting.

After a bit of discucussion on another thread, I think I might try to make a vertical mold to attempt another one, provided I have enough PR left.

Hobby Lobby sells them in a kids science kit. I think there were 5 or 6 tubes but they were around 20 bucks

I will DEFINITELY be looking into that. It's a few extra bucks, but far easier for me to get my hands on.
