First time doing a pine cone blank on which I used an antique brass knurl kit. Really nice looking blank and I see why some say it resembles dragon scales. Will definitely be doing more of these.

Bobby, that blank is a work of art. The color, depth, flow and dimensional detail is a treasure to look at.

That really came out very nice. I believe you should make more because when people see them they will be in demand. Nice job.

Did you cast the blank? Where did you get it, if I may ask? The one thing I like about pen turning is the endless variety of blanks that can be used.

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate them. I'm not sure where I got the blank, I think it was a freebie that was included in an order but not sure. I'll do some digging and if I figure out where it came from I'll post it. Again, thanks for the comments.
