This, of course is casting #6. I skipped the tripoli polish after surface issues were brought up. I also decided to finally clean out the micromesh water. I think both helped out quite a bit. As a side note: A friend of mine reccomended making single molds out of aluminum foil, and man does it ever work. I think the extra surface heat in the incubator helped the color distribution a LOT.

Thanks! The next thing I plan on trying out is something like Turtle Wax or the like to see if it grants the magic extra shininess.
If you are looking for wax to get an extra shine try "ICE". It's a synthetic paste polish by Turtle Wax.

I am a fan of 0000 steel wool, followed by FLITZ, and Meguiar's PlastX though! I have a 1/2 bottle of HUT's plastic polish that I haven't used for sometime since using Meguiar's.

Something like that. I spent a year or two detailing cars for a living a while back. I have a really solid idea of what I want for a wax, just need to find the right one next time I head out.
