Casing and antler pens

Here are 4 powder coated casing and antler pens that I just finished. They are (from left to right):

- .308 w/whitetail antler and copper components
- 300 WSM w/whitetail antler and copper components
- .308 w/mule deer antler and black chrome components
- 300 WSM w/muld deer antler and rhodium components

Nice looking pens. I have had great luck selling the casing pens I make. I have tried several times to get the "bark" to end up like yours to no avail. How do you treat the area to preserve the natural look?
